"We are pleased to announce that the European Journal of Emergency Medicine has just been notified of its inaugural Impact Factor, which is 0.733. This places the EJEM in 12th position out of 19 journals in the Emergency Medicine category. This is a very good start for the EJEM, and we welcome the submission of your best quality original research papers over the coming months and years. With your help and support, our Impact Factor and the quality of the EJEM can only improve."

The official journal of the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EuSEM), the European Journal of Emergency Medicine (EJEM), serves the European Emergency Medicine community and promotes European standards of training, diagnosis and care in this rapidly growing field.
The EJEM publishes papers on all aspects of acute injury and sudden illness including anaesthesiology, cardiology, disaster medicine, intensive care, internal medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics, toxicology, and trauma care. It also addresses issues on the organisation of emergency services in hospitals and in the community and examines postgraduate training from a European perspective.
