Guidance for Domestic Abuse & Violence in the ED
The ethics committee of EUSEM has written guidelines on Domestic Abuse and Violence. The recommendations aim to help Emergency Physicians detect and identify domestic abuse and violence in relation to children, intimate partners and elders.
Update on Emergency Medicine as primary specialty in Spain
On 25 October 2018 the Spanish Senate has supported the establishment of Emergency Medicine as a primary specialty in Spain, the initiation of the official procedure was asked to the Government by the majority of the political parties.
The Parliament, the Senate, majority of the National Communities, the Medical Council and Unions, the international Scientific Societies support the request, only a political decision is needed to start the process.
