Lisa is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar, Ireland, as well as a pre-hospital emergency doctor with Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance in the East Midlands Region of the United Kingdom. Both are discussing the advantages of both a Helicopter Emergency Medicine Service (HEMS) with widespread air ambulance bases as well as the need for specifically trained doctors on the road for critical emergencies. Lisa is a strong advocate for the expansion of HEMS services and PHEM doctors in Ireland and talks both about her experiences in the UK as well as about the needs in her homecountry.
