Webinar Lead
The EUSEM Education Committee is seeking an enthusiastic and organised volunteer to take on the role of Webinar Lead, supporting the planning, development and oversight of the Society’s monthly Emergency Medicine webinars.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the educational programme, engage with experts across the EM community, and contribute to the continued success and growth of EUSEM’s webinar offering.
Purpose of the Role
The Webinar Lead will coordinate and oversee the EM monthly EUSEM webinars, working closely with the Education Administrator, webinar presenters, hosts and the Education Committee to ensure a high-quality and relevant educational programme.
Key Responsibilities
The Webinar Lead will:
- Meet regularly with the Education Administrator to review and confirm upcoming webinar programmes.
- Provide advice on commercial offers/ approaches for sponsorship webinars, ensuring alignment with EUSEM policies and educational objectives.
- Support members who wish to deliver a webinar by offering advice and guidance on content and webinar format.
- Monitor webinar performance, including attendance figures and participant feedback.
- Produce an annual report based on podcasts recorded, participant feedback, and key outcomes.
Time Commitment
- The expected commitment is approximately 30 minutes per week on average over the course of the year. The workload is likely to be episodic, with some weeks requiring little or no activity and others requiring up to two hours.
- The postholder will also be expected to attend at least 50% of the monthly webinars.

Pre-Courses Lead
EUSEM is seeking an organised and engaged volunteer to take on the role of EUSEM Pre-Courses Lead, providing oversight and coordination of the annual Congress Pre-Course Programme.
This role offers an opportunity to help shape one of the key educational components of the EUSEM Congress, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, relevant, and sustainable pre-courses that meet the needs of participants and faculty alike.
Purpose of the Role
The Pre-Courses Lead will coordinate the EUSEM Congress pre-course programme, ensuring the provision of high-quality, relevant, and engaging educational content that supports the learning objectives of Congress attendees and aligns with the organisation’s educational goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Pre-Courses Lead will:
- Work closely with the Education Administrator to develop the pre-course invitation and programme.
- Oversee the review and evaluation of pre-course submissions, ensuring the consistent application of established selection criteria and quality standards.
- Adjudicate the final selection and ensure appropriate communication of outcome to participants.
- Collaborate with the Education Administrator to ensure that pre-course faculty are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Oversee the timely development and submission of pre-course materials and ensure these are uploaded to the appropriate platforms.
- Provide a report on the pre-courses for the ECOC and the Education Committee, covering:
- Delegate and faculty feedback
- Participation and engagement metrics
- Financial situation
- Recommendations for future development
Time Commitment
The commitment varies throughout the year and is largely seasonal.
- November to January: approximately 2 hours per week.
- Remainder of the year: approximately 1 hour per month.

EUSEM ETR Track Lead
EUSEM is seeking a committed and enthusiastic volunteer to serve as ETR Track Lead, overseeing the development and delivery of the European Training Requirements (ETR) Track at the annual EUSEM Congress.
This is a nice opportunity to contribute to the core educational programme of the Congress, and to ensure that the ETR Track remains a high-quality, relevant, and engaging learning experience aligned with the European Training Requirements in Emergency Medicine.
Purpose of the Role
The ETR Track Lead will oversee the ETR Track at congress, ensuring that the programme reflects the breadth and depth of the ETR / European curriculum and provides valuable educational content for learners at all stages of training.
Key Responsibilities
The ETR Track Lead will:
- Develop a proposal for the ETR Track programme in October and November, ensuring alignment with the European Training Requirements.
- Present the proposed programme to the Education Committee and refine the content based on committee feedback and priorities.
- Identify and recruit speakers from EMERGE and the Education Committee.
- Work with invited speakers to ensure that presentations are appropriately pitched, educationally relevant, and aligned with the agreed learning objectives.
- Ensure consistency and appropriate level of delivery across ETR Track sessions.
- Prepare an annual report for the Education Committee based on attendance and engagement, feedback, and make recommendations for the following year.
Time Commitment
Much of the work takes place between October and January, during which the commitment is expected to be approximately 2 hours per week. Little time will be needed thereafter.
The postholder would be expected to attend most of ETR Track sessions during the congress.

Simulation Lead
EUSEM is seeking an experienced volunteer to serve as EUSEM Simulation Lead, helping to develop and support a vibrant European community of practice for simulation in emergency medicine.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to shape EUSEM’s approach to simulation-based education, facilitate collaboration across Europe, and promote the sharing of expertise and innovation in simulation training.
Purpose of the Role
The Simulation Lead will develop and support a community of practice in simulation-based emergency medicine education on behalf of EUSEM.
Key Responsibilities
The Simulation Lead will:
- Chair and lead a working group to look at the role of simulation in EM in Europe.
- Ensure the development and implementation of a European simulation strategy for EUSEM.
- Work with the Simulation Working Group to develop initiatives that support the sharing of best practices, educational resources, innovations, and collaborative learning opportunities.
- Support faculty development opportunities where appropriate.
- Develop a network of simulators in EM – connecting with existing simulation networks to ensure maximum collaboration.
- Approach industry for sponsorship where appropriate and in accordance.
- Prepare an annual report for the Education Committee outlining achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future development.
Time Commitment
The estimated commitment is approximately 60 minutes per month averaged across the year.

Live Courses Lead
EUSEM is seeking an enthusiastic and organised volunteer to serve as EUSEM Live Courses Lead, providing oversight of the Society’s live educational courses.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the development of high-quality educational activities and help members bring new course ideas to life through both face-to-face and hybrid learning formats.
Purpose of the Role
The Live Courses Lead will coordinate and oversee EUSEM live courses, working closely with the Education Administrator, course faculty, and the Education Committee to ensure that courses align with and are responsive to member needs.
Key Responsibilities
The Live Courses Lead will:
- Meet regularly with the Education Administrator to review the status and performance of existing live courses.
- Provide advice and guidance to members who wish to develop and deliver live courses with options for the e-learning component (hybrid) or live course development.
- Ensure that live courses are mapped alongside congress recourses and the spring conference.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within the current educational programme and suggest topics for courses.
- Engage with EUSEM members to gather suggestions and ideas for future courses.
Time Commitment
